REENTRY HOUSING & APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
In 2024, we launched the Registered Apprenticeship Program, which is overseen by the U.S. Department of Labor. Also, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Probation, as well as Secure Youth Treatment Facility (SYTF), we initiated a reentry housing program.
This program offers career pathways in music, media, and film, alongside reentry housing for formerly incarcerated and transitional-aged youth. While incarcerated in juvenile facilities, these young program participants join us initially through their participation in our Songs and Beats class.
After release, they move into our supportive housing and are immediately enrolled in paid Apprenticeships at The C.A.P.O. Center. Youth choose between film or audio engineering tracks, where they develop industry skills, receive mentorship, mental health support, case management, and join a community dedicated to their growth and success.
