REENTRY HOUSING & APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
In 2024, we launched the U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program alongside our reentry housing initiative, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Probation.
This program offers career pathways in music, media, and film, alongside reentry housing for formerly incarcerated and transitional-aged youth. These young people join us through participation in our Songs and Beats program while incarcerated in juvenile facilities.
After release, they move into our supportive housing and begin paid apprenticeships at The C.A.P.O. Center. Youth choose between Film or Audio Engineering tracks, where they develop industry skills, receive mentorship, mental health support, and case management, and join a community dedicated to their growth and success.
